Karla Kuhlmann
Salon Owner & Stylist
Karla is the owner of KM Salon and holds 39 years of behind the chair and education experience. She began her education career as a Goldwell Educator in Wisconsin and then moved to North Carolina in 1990 to be a full time Director of Education of the Goldwell Southeast Branch.
After 11 years, Karla left the education world and went back to her first love of hair dressing. In 2000, she ventured out and opened a small salon space on her own, and by 2003, she opened KM Salon in Southend, Charlotte. Karla is extremely passionate about learning and brings that passion to every guest in her chair. She enjoys all aspects of her career and will make you feel right at home during every appointment.
When not behind the chair, you may find Karla relaxing with her two cats: Lewis and Kevin with a good book in hand.

Stylist
Allie McKeown
Stylist
Allie has been with KM Salon for nearly 8 years and has been in the industry for 12, after receiving professional training at Empire Beauty School. She loves a fun color transformation, eye catching red heads, and resonates with creating a lived in, natural look.
Born and raised in Charlotte, Allie is a native!
When she isn't in the salon, you can find her in the gym, somewhere outdoors, or curled up with coffee in-hand!

Carrie Schmitt
Stylist
Carrie has been in the industry since 1997, totaling 25 years of experience! Every part of her career is her favorite. She enjoys the variety that being a stylist brings each day, while building strong, working relationships with each and every guest that sits in her chair.
Originally from Western New York, Carrie has been married to her husband Ray for 22 years, and they have two teenage boys, Drew and Garan.
When Carrie isn't behind the chair, you can find her busy with her hobby of beekeeping or hanging out with the family and their many pets!
